upstairs bathroom

My upstairs bathroom has become a great useful place.  

There was a big alcove area (far left) that was empty and instead of just wasting the space  that is where we stacked the washer and dryer and built in a cupboard for storage.  

And my sink and counter space is great.  I have plenty of room and it is right next to my bedroom.

I have to say at first I wanted to put the washer and dryer in the basement so that I could utilize all my space in the house.  But I ABSOLUTELY love, love, love my washer and dryer in the upstairs bathroom, right next to my bedroom.  It makes it so easy to complete laundry and it is right next to where all the dirty cloths are made!

Living Room

My living room is absolutely HUGE!!  It is approx. 18 by 32 feet.  It is large and bright, but we have it kinda partitioned off.  

This is the front of the living room towards the front of the house.  We have this large sectional so far, our coffee table some end tables and our television.

Although the back of the living room that is kinda partitioned off behind the couch is currently left fairly open.  I have an end table with a plant and picture on it and my workout step is also behind there.  

So we have plenty on room to move around and put other items.  i am sure we will eventually fill all this space.  

Downstairs bathroom

If you have seen my down stairs bathroom before the remodel it was a pale yellow.  I happened to love the color of the upstairs bathroom before we painted it blue and found some left over paint in the basement.  

Therefor my downstairs bathroom got painted this very pale, light, minty green.  It looks amazing and I am very excited that it came out so well.

And all the fixtures except the towel ring was there when we bought the house.  So I just removed them, painted and then put them all back together.  So each room is slowly getting put in order and being put back together.  

De-Construction begins.....and ends

So again.... as I sit inside and clean, and get dinner ready I catch Ryan outside saying he is working again.  

This is what we have for a shed right now, but not for long.  First the shed is rotten, second it is on the property line.  

Here is comes, Ryan and the excavator are looking to have some fun.

And here goes nothing!

He's got the front coming off!  This was more of a struggle then we thought it would be.  

Again, he says this is work.  Who is he fooling it looks like a bunch of play to me.  Destroying an old building with and excavator and watching it crash to the ground is fun!

It's almost half gone.  The back half of the shed really gave him some trouble and didn't want to be destroyed.  You can see by the pictures that this shed was indeed very close to the deck off the back of our house!

But I think he was able to figure it out!

He decided it was just as easy to pick up the debris when it was this large and get it close to the trailer then get the chainsaw out to cut it into smaller pieces.  

But doesn't it look much better.  It isn't 100% cleaned up yet but for the most part it looks much better!

Ryan gets to play!

So as I sit inside the house and on a Saturday afternoon to get some cleaning done I do indeed sneak in a little time to visit with my sewing machine.  Ryan said he was going to be outside working.  So when I look outside my sewing room window and look down the driveway this is what I see.  

He is playing very hard.  He says this isn't playing it is "fixing and removing the potholes in the driveway".  I am not sure who he is trying to fool.  If he is trying to convince me he isn't having fun or if he is trying to convince himself that he is working hard.  

He seems very focused.  Not really sure what he needs to focus so much on.  

He's trying to pretend real hard like he didn't see me come outside with the camera.  He was pretending to work hard and focus and not smile knowing I was watching him.  

I absolutely LOVE this picture.  This is so him in his natural state.  

He had enough of picture taking for the day so he was proud that he was able to get the bucket in the way just at the right time!

But I still continued with the pictures!  It's nice to have lots of pictures of all the work getting done around the house so we can look back at all the work we have done.  

Sophie just sat up by the house and watched.  She is really good and staying up by the house and not coming down by the road.  

She was so content and even waited for me to get all the way to her before she even bothered to get up.  

My sewing room

I am so excited to take a tour through my house room by room.  I absolutely love my house and the way that I feel in it.  I love having the space, the comfortable home environment and the house to spend time with Ryan.  

Now that we are moved it I have been able to get my sewing room unpacked and settled to a point.

I have my sewing table in front of one window.  With my cutting table off to the side of me where I can get up from sewing go cut something quickly and return to sewing again.  My ironing board is on the way right against the wall at the same end of the room as my sewing table and cutting table so everything is nice and close!

I have to say I LOVE my cutting table.  Before this I used the same table as my sewing table and never had enough room and I was always bending over to cut the pieces I needed.  When I had a lot of cutting to do  my back was always hurting from being bent over.  Now this high table is great.  I don't have to bed over at all and I have plenty of space to spread out any extra material when I have a large piece of material I am working with.  

The other window has my two shelving units with all my "goodies" on it.  The shelve on the left has three bins on fat quarters all folded the same and put together by colors.  There is also a plastic bin that has just packs of charm squares in it.  In that bin there are also some random charm squares that are left over from previous projects that I have completed and had extra squares left over. The shelf on the right has all the goodies on extra seam rippers, scissors, needle threaders, already cut pieces for a "scrappy"quilt.  And all the fabric store information and coupons.  

On the left on the left side of the shelves is a basket filled with just books and patterns.  I keep all my patterns together in this basket and all my copied patterns and free patterns are organized neatly into three-ring binders.  

This is just a look from one end to the other.  In the little corner on the way left are three or four plastic bins.  One filled with pre bought kits, one with groups of fat quarters I have picked out over time, one with smaller projects that I want to start working on, one with large pieces of fabric I bought on sale but don't know what I am going to use them for.  

I have to say I just love this room!  I have my ipod adapter so I plug my ipod in and get music in my room.  I sit and sew and have a grand old time.  And might I add, right now I currently have 2 sewing machines in my sewing room!  I am so excited.  I can have more than one project going at a time.  I have wedding projects and other projects I must complete so being able to have 2 machines allows me to have one machine set up for one project and one machine for another and so I can work on one project for a while then change to working on a different project without changing all my threads and settings.

The wedding invitations are all ready to go!

I headed off to the post office.
And mailed them off!!
