The end is here!

The end of painting that is!!!

I was fortunate enough to get some great help to finish the painting. I needed to get a second coat on the mudroom walls and with the help of my parents we got the painting done and now get to move on to more exciting things.

When looking in the cupboards the backs and shelves were covered with contact paper. I decided that I was going to pull the contact paper off. Little did I know that I was going to start a new project for myself. Now the backs of the shelves needed to be painted.

But we got those done also!

Counters!

Tile counter tops are in the works. This means the end is getting closer!

Here they have set down and attached all the tile. 12 inch tiles on the counter tops and 6 inch tiles for the backsplash.

This is a close up of the counter and backsplash!

Island Part 2

I got some better pictures of my new island.  Here is the base of the new island.  It is all stained and ready to be used.  Just waiting for cupboard doors and drawers to put in.

The top looks absolutley amazing.  It looks wonderful on top of the base that wonderful man made me!

A little wedding story!

ahhhh..... so Ryan and I sat down the other night to finish adressing some invitation envelopes for the wedding.

I grabbed the box of invitations and headed down the stairs asking Ryan to grab the box of already addressed envelops. Well he did and he started down the stairs, and lost control.

This is the view from the bottom of the stairs looking up. We had envelopes every where. And that great organization system I was trying to use in order to keep the different invitations seperate well.....

They were no longer seperated. This is from the top of the stairs looking down. We just now had to take the time and go through them and sort and organize them agian.

Oh well. It was great quality time spent organizing and wedding talking!
